The Pentacle is associated with the element of Earth. It symbolizes the Physical Body and the Karma of the Magician.
To make the Pentacle, obtain a circular wooden disk approximately six inches in diameter. Suitable woods include Elm, Blackwood, Black Limba, Black Poisonwood, and Mahogany. Research these woods using the links and choose the one that feels most appropriate to you.
- Using a compass, draw a circle 3/8 of an inch from the outer edge of the disk.
- Paint the outer edge of the disk Black.
- Using White paint, draw a Pentagram inside the inner circle.
- Paint all sections surrounding the Pentagram Black.
- If necessary, repaint the Pentagram with White paint.
- Allow the paint to dry completely.
- If desired, use either Black paint or a Wood Burner to inscribe the names and sigils of the Archangel, Angel, and Elemental Ruler on the reverse side of the Pentacle. These may be found in the Pentacle Consecration Ritual.
